    Hi, I recently purchased a MaxiDas ds708 from an Auction and it didn't come with the sd card. I tried register it on auteltech.com, but it's asking for the Register Password and I only can get the s/n off the back of the unit. When I turn the machine on it shows it the maxi logo screen and then shows me to put in sd card. When I put in new SD card nothing happens. What should I do at the point??

    Download the PC client for the DS708 and install it on a Windows machine that has an SD card slot.  Put the blank SD card into the Windows machine, reformat it (Autel's suggestion), then start the PC software.  Log in when prompted with the account you created to access this site.  You should be able to create a new image on the card that will then be bootable.  Once you can boot into the MaxiDAS, tap on "About" and you'll have the password needed to fulfill registration.

    Chances are, however, that the device will be out of the support period and you might not be able to download any vehicle profiles.  I'm curious how this turns out though--please keep up updated.

     Thanks for the fast reply. So I installed the PC Client. I opened the DS708 Registration Wizard v.1.04. It prompt me to insert SD card into the usb port on the computer, I did so and box came up saying unrecognized SD card? I formatted card also still the same thing. I have a Sandisk 8gb. SDHC Card (4). Wasn't sure if this a problem with the card? I know a 4gb comes with the unit.

     I have the same problem as Matut1214 has explained . Is there anyone to know about this issue?

     Hello, please send your S/N to support01@autel.com, I will send you the register password.
    For such issue, you can always contact dealer directly to check the register password.

     I also have a problem registering my MaxiDAS DS708 device because I can't log in to retrieve the register password. The S/N is DS017Q001448. Please send me the Register Password so that i can complete the registration and proceed to update the device.
